    The Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca, is what is most commonly called the entire Mediterranean coast bordering the province of Alicante. From Denia to Pilar de Horadada. 244 km of wonderful beaches and coves, that will make any vacationer feel in paradise.

But away from the sun and beach, the Costa Blanca has several municipalities such as Denia, Jávea, Calpe, Elche, Benidorm ... among others, which during the summer season are filled with life thanks to its traditional festivals that await so many inhabitants during the year.

    Fiestas of the Costa Blanca.

The fiestas of a region are one of the characteristics that gives that unique personality to a country, city or town. That is why in many places they are eagerly awaited year after year by its inhabitants.

Thanks to the amount of communities that form the Costa Blanca, it is an area full of unique, incredible and traditional festivities to see.

    Fallas in Dénia.

Although the Fallas in Valencia are the best known nationally and internationally, the municipality of Dénia also has their own and should not envy anything to Valencia, because they really are spectacular.

Each year a total of eleven Fallas commissions place their incredible Fallas in Dénia. As always gunpowder is the star of this party. Music, food, fireworks show and of course, the precious ninots.

In Dénia the Fallas are not burned at the same time, but they are burned progressively, so that visitors can see more than one "cremà" during this Fiesta.

    San Juan bonfires

One of the traditions with more followers, are the bonfires of San Juan. The inhabitants of Dénia gather near the seashore and begin to prepare their bonfires together with their friends and family.

The food, music and bonfires fill the beaches of Costa Blanca, giving way to a magical and incredible night.

As it is traditional also in other locations that border on the Mediterranean, just when the clock marks midnight, all those present approach the water to carry out their various rituals to attract good luck and ask for their wishes.

    The Mystery of Elche

Every 14th and 15th of August, inside the Basilica of Santa María, in the city of Elche, the Dormition, Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin Mary are recreated. A religious sacral-lyric drama.

This performance is characterized by being represented only by men, since it continues to respect the norm of medieval origin in which women were not allowed. It is also the only play in the world that is allowed to be performed inside a church thanks to Pope Urban VII.

The performance received on May 18, 2001 the recognition of Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by Unesco.

As you have seen, it is a performance worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

string(80) "Achieve energy efficiency at home and save every month on your electricity bill."
      ["texto"]=>
      string(7795) "

Currently the consumption of energy through electronic devices has skyrocketed to levels that are unsustainable. Furthermore to adding the use of electronic devices for everyday use in the household, such as the refrigerator, microwave or television.

    What is energy efficiency?

It is simple that during the day we are not aware of the large amount of energy that we waste and the damages that this means for our pocket at the end of the month and for our planet, which is on the verge of saturation.

As a definition, energy efficiency is the efficient use of energy. When an electronic device consumes an amount lower than the average to perform an activity.

It also seeks to protect the environment by consuming no more than necessary. We thus avoid the sending of CO2 into the atmosphere.

    The benefits of energy efficiency.

As we have already mentioned, having a non-energy efficient home is one of the main sources of expenses for families that must face the electricity bill at the end of the month. And even more during the winter and summer because of the air conditioners and fans.

Following energy efficiency standards in the home will mean:

    · Save on your electricity bill each month.

    · Help the environment.

    · Increase the price of the house, as long as you have the Energy Label.

The energy label is a document that details the qualification obtained by the property. This sticker follows a scale of letters that goes from A, being the best score, to G, being the worst of all.

This certificate can be done by an authorized technician with the necessary qualification. There are several companies that do it and therefore you can choose the one you prefer.

How to improve the energy efficiency of my home

Now that you know what energy efficiency and its benefits are, we will tell you what you can do to improve it in your home.

    The windows

Not all the windows of properties are insulating. Because of them, a large amount of temperature is lost, which means that we consume the air conditioners for longer and with higher temperatures. Change them for ones that isolate more and in the medium term you will have saved a lot of money.

    Energy efficient appliances

It is true that these appliances are more expensive than others. But it is an investment that will become profitable in a short time.

    The light bulbs

Exchange your old halogen and fluorescent lights to LED bulbs, which in addition to helping you save on the electricity bill, usually have 50,000 hours of use.

    The temperature

Keep the temperature of your home at the right point. Neither above nor below 21ºC in winter and 27ºC in summer.

    How to calculate Energy efficiency

Obviously there is a mathematical formula to know that information. But we, we are going to recommend a tool developed by Leroy Merlin that will make it much easier to calculate the efficiency of your home through a simple test.

If not, you can also call a specialized technician to calculate it.

      ["texto"]=>

When we buy a house we treat it as if it was our own family. We take care of it and decorate it to the smallest detail, leaving our own personality reflected in its walls.

Of all the rooms that our house can have, the living room is where 70% of the life is made. And that's why it's the space that has to be more conditioned for our long stay. The problem is that sometimes it can be a bit small and you can get a little claustrophobic.

At Starck-Estates we are going to give you some ideas so that you get the most out of your living room in an easy and fast way.

    Light colors.

Light colors such as white, light gray or off-white are allies of light, they get reflected in the walls, blurring the limits and giving the feeling of spaciousness. You can complement by changing the floor also by parquet or light colored ceramics. The floor expands everything. The dark or warm colors on the contrary get the effect of darkness, turn off the light that enters from outside and give the sensation of being a smaller space.

Light colors will give your living room a modern and fresh feeling.

     Less is more

We all dream of a large sofa where we can rest after a hard day of work and watch our favorite Netflix program. But if we suffer from a small room that would be a big mistake.

Find a sofa that can satisfy your need but without eating your living room. You can for example choose sofas of 2 or 3 seats. Also individual armchairs with light colors like grey and white to get the light to continue reflecting.

If you do not like too much the extremely white spaces you can dress your sofas with turquoise colors or pale pink, since these colors will give a little more life to your living room and will not overwhelm or extinguish the area.

Continuing with minimalism, the concept of less is more, is perfect. Do not load the room with multiple shelves or high coffee tables. Clear spaces in the center give more sense of spaciousness. Let the light enter through all the areas of your living room so that your perception is wider.

    Mirror, mirror on the Wall

Another great ally of the small and low-light rooms are the mirrors. With them you will be able to create optical illusions of amplitude. Place them strategically so that the little light that enters through the living room window is reflected in them and distributes light throughout the space.

You can complement putting some photographs or pictures on the walls, but taking into account not to overload the space so as not to reduce the size sensation.

    Your home in Costa Blanca

If you follow our advice you can make your small room look more spacious and fresh, but you may still be looking for the house of your dreams or a second home on the Costa Blanca.

At Starck-Estates we have a wide variety of spectacular houses and villas in the Costa Blanca area, where you will not suffer from small spaces, as they have very spacious and bright rooms.

Count on our professional team at Starck-Estates. Specialists with years of experience in the sector to make your wishes and goals come true.

Spring is already approaching one of the most traditional and passionate festivals in Spain. The Holy Week. The good weather and the desired Easter holidays give way to a lot of different activities that take place between April 14 and 21, 2019, although the dates vary according to the year. We invite you to keep reading to know all the plans.

    The processions of Holy Week

If you are in Alicante, you can not miss the passes and the processions. The tours through the Old Town will leave you speechless and we will highlight four of the most popular in the city.

El Cristo Morenet, you can see it leaving on Holy Monday from the Virgen del Socorro Hermitage, making a circular route until you enter the Hermitage again. This Christ is said to have arrived in the city by the sea.

We also recommend that you go to see the procession carried out by the Hermandad de la Santa Cruz in the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, one of the most exciting and known by the inhabitants of Alicante. Its steep stairs are filled with colorful flowers for the long-awaited occasion. You can see this procession on Holy Wednesday.

If you have occasion to take a trip we recommend you to visit Orihuela. His pass "The Devil" is declared of International Tourist Interest. This is the only demon in Spain that goes out in a procession. The pass is characterized by being composed of a white sphere with an angel and at the base there is a devil and a skeleton. For this reason, at this stage the pass is not allowed to enter churches. It is one of the most unique and ancient to participate in Holy Week.

Finally, we recommend that you see the Santa Cena pass celebrated on Holy Thursday. The amazing thing about this pass is the use of real food that is donated at the end of this one.

If you do not declare yourself a fan of traditional plans and religious customs we also have activities designed for the whole family to spend a fantastic Easter.

The typical gastronomy of Holy Week

During Holy Week the province of Alicante is filled with traditional cuisine with centennial dishes and desserts to suck your fingers. The houses are full of aroma of stews, pastries and hot ovens.

During Holy Thursday it is typical to go for tapas in the local area, where you can try some Lenten dishes, such as boiled beans, camarrojas with boot sardines or salted bonito with raw tender beans.

As sweet highlights, without a doubt, you should try the pancakes in broth and the amohabanas (a kind of sweet bread).

    Feel the nature

As we have said before, Holy Week is accompanied by good weather, blue skies and lots of sunshine. This makes it a perfect time to go cycling or hiking along the Gran Costa Blanca Interior Route and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

Or if you are one of those who are very hot, you can take the swimsuit and enjoy the beaches and coves of Costa Blanca.

    Costa Blanca

As you have been able to observe, the Costa Blanca has a great leisure offer during Holy Week that you can enjoy whenever you want, having a home there.

Starck-Estates is a real estate agency with a team of professionals willing to help you find your ideal home. Starck-Estates has a great variety of properties on the Costa Blanca: Fincas and villas in Javea, Denia, Pego ... among others.

If you are thinking about selling your home now, we can tell you that this is the best time to do so. Currently you can easily make the biggest profit of your property without any problem.

You may be interested in selling your property to buy a larger one, recover an investment or have other different reasons, but the truth is that the easiest and most comfortable way for you is to be guided by a specialized real estate agency.

Advantages of trusting in a real estate agency

    1) Hard work

The real estate agency assumes a commitment with you and your home. They will dedicate their efforts and work hard to get the best buyer for your property and get the largest benefit, as real estate agencies have better resources to make your house stand out.

    2) Time is money

We know that in the days in which we live, time is money, so, why waste it, spend time and headaches in making an appointment to show the house and then people not turning up or try to square hundreds of visits between your working hours losing time off and weekends to try to sell it?

With a real estate agency, you do not have to worry about it. They are responsible for scheduling the viewings, as they have a wide schedule for the public that does not waste a minute on a possible sale. Thus, you can sit back and enjoy your day off!

    3) Get the most out of your property

Once the real estate agency has seen your property, it may be that they are recommending a small investment in your property, so as to improve the selling price and the results, for example, painting some rooms to increase size, removing some personal items before the viewings, or tricks to make your living room look much brighter.

    4) Do not despair

Surely if you are reading this it is possible that it is because you have been trying to sell your house for a long time and you only get very low offers or you have even reached the point where you do not receive offers or calls and that can lead you to despair.

With an estate agent that will not happen, they know the market and its possibilities perfectly, they will advise you on the real price of your property and how far it could be adjusted so that you always win.

In addition real estate agencies have a large database of potential customers who would be interested in buying a home like yours, through different filters, that locate the buyer who has possibilities to buy. In this way, they would find the ideal customer in a quicker and easier way.

    5)  Procedures

The ignorance of these bureaucratic procedures by a private party, can become a reason for losing a sale at the last moment and simply for a badly written error.

The real estate agencies are perfectly aware of these procedures and know how to draft a purchase-sale agreement without errors that can be regretted later.

As you have seen throughout this article there are a large number of advantages that will allow you to sell your home more quickly and safely.

If you are planning your holiday in Denia, you have already hit the bull´s eye. The truth is that Denia, a port city on the Mediterranean Sea, and part of the province of Alicante, is one of the most popular destinations in Spain. As expected, there are many things to see and do in Denia! But to put it all much easier, in today's post we will tell you some of the best summer plans in Denia.

    Castle of Denia

The Castle of Denia is undoubtedly our number one in terms of plans and things to see in Denia. It is simply unavoidable. The famous monument will take us on a journey into the past in which we can learn a lot about its culture and history.

The Castle is presiding over the city, at the top. Visiting it is a must, since you can also admire its walls that still remain, the famous towers, and of course, impressive views of the city of Denia. Even if it were only for those views, we assure you that it's worth going. Oh! But if you are passionate about archeology and history, do not worry, there you will also find a small archaeological museum.

    Les Marines Beach

There is no summer without a beach, or so they say, right? The truth is that the beaches of Denia are also spectacular, so among the best plans in Denia, this could not miss.

The Beach of Les Marines is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, and is located north of the city of Denia. It has about 2,570 meters in length, and a width of about 80 meters on average.

The beach of Les Marines can boast of a privileged location, a very good size (which leaves space enough for everyone although just that day there would be quite an influx of people), and restaurants and bars nearby for when the gluttony enters. As if that were not enough, from it you can see the castle of Denia. The beach is a highlight you can not miss among your summer plans in Denia.

Walk through the historic center and tapas

This is undoubtedly a great summer plan, and you can also combine it with your visit to the Castle of Denia, another must see as we have already mentioned.

Walking through the beautiful old town of Denia, which has more than special charm, will not take you long, since it is not too big. You can start by visiting the castle, and then visit emblematic places such as the Plaza de la Constitución, the town hall building, and finish on the famous Loreto street. There you can enjoy some of the best delicacies of Denia in the form of a tapa.

Oh! Also, do not forget to visit the two churches of the old town: the Convent of Las Agustinas in the same Loreto Street, and the Asunción in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Do you want to settle in Denia?

No wonder, Denia is a paradise full of plans, and those that we have brought you today are just some of the hundreds that await you. Step by step, we are sure that Denia is going to win your heart and will captivate you.

Denia's gastronomy is undeniably outstanding. So, if you want to go on vacation or stay in a beautiful city, you are in luck. All in all, there are many compelling reasons why Denia was declared a Creative Gastronomic City by UNESCO.

Predictably, rice and fresh fish stand out in the local cuisine, and one of the most famous dishes is "Arròs a Banda". But far beyond this rich rice plate, a whole world full of delights awaits you in Denia. Without a doubt, we will also whet your appetite for tasting the 4 traditional dishes of Denia. You don´t believe it? There are 4 typical dishes of Denia that you definitely must try!

    The Espencat

Delicious comes too short. Far too short. The famous Espencat is one of the most typical dishes of the whole district of Valencia, especially in Denia. The dish, a kind of tasty "cold salad", consists of previously baked red pepper strips, eggplant, cod and a good shot of the best olive oil. In many restaurants, it is common to add pine nuts, boiled egg or even olives. A tapa of Espencat is a must while staying in Denia, we can assure you.

    Llandeta

If you love stews, this is your ideal dish, and if not, we promise that it will be! The Llandeta is a typical white fish and rice stew from Denia (Alicante), which is also accompanied by potatoes.

The main ingredients are the combination of fresh white fish, such as whiting, bream, monkfish or conger. Why is it called Llandeta? Because in the past the dish was cooked in a typical metal tray called "llanda", which literally means "can". Today it is also prepared in a casserole, and it is simply sensational. It is without a doubt in the top of the best typical dishes of Denia that you must try.

    Varied Cocas

Denia is for sure the kingdom of cocas, just finger licking good. Another typical dish from Denia that you just have to taste is its famous coca, or cocas, as there is a wide variety of them. The fact is that it is difficult to choose only one. Among the best known is the coca with peppers, onions and tomatoes, although everyone loves them also with sardines, anchovies or olive oil.

    Pumpkin cake or pumpkin doughnuts

Looking for something sweet? As far as sweetness is concerned, Denia deserves a well-deserved gold medal (at least for our palates) for delicacies such as the typical pumpkin and chocolate cake or pumpkin doughnut ("buñuelos").

The cake will just blow you away! It consists of a kind of pumpkin cake, which blends perfectly with chocolate and cottage cheese. Not too sweet, not bitter, just perfect. You certainly will not be able to resist it!

Another traditional dish from Denia, which you simply have to try, is the pumpkin doughnut. It is undoubtedly the star of the place, and you can not go without tasting it, for example, with something warm. No matter in which season, we guarantee that its finger licking good!

    What to do in Jávea

    Coves and beaches in Jávea

Spectacular turquoise and crystalline waters, small coves that'll have you falling in love... The beaches, coves, caves and islets of Jávea are simply stunning. The coast of the town is one of the most important tourist attractions, among which the Cala de la Granadella and the Playa del Arenal, a sandy beach, stand out particularly. In addition, without a doubt, the coast of Jávea is famous for the practice of water sports, snorkelling and diving, as its waters are very clear, perfect to see wonderful fish, coral and Posidonia.

    Cabo de la Nau

This characteristic cape, called Cap de la Nau in Valenciano, is one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Blanca. Located in Jávea, the cape, where we also find the famous Faro de la Nao (lighthouse), is forming a cliffy coast. Under it, there are several caves and small coves that are worth visiting for their beauty, and particularly if we are interested in water sports. In the cape you can enjoy spectacular views and sunsets, so do not miss it.

    Iglesia de San Bartolomé

In the historic centre and built between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, the "Iglesia de San Bartolomé" (Church of San Bartolomé) is proclaimed as one of the most important buildings in the town of Jávea that you should definitely visit. In fact, in 1931, the fortified Elizabethan-Gothic church was declared a National Artistic Monument, so imagine the beauty that awaits you! Other buildings in the Historic District that you can not miss are the Town Hall and the Municipal Market.

    Montgó Natural Park

It is a must in the town of Jávea, without a doubt. The natural park of more than 2 thousand hectares is a paradise full of impressive Mediterranean flora and fauna. The park is located on the plains of Ondara, Dènia and Jávea, at almost 800 meters above sea level. Montgó Park is one of the most beautiful and unique places in Valencia and includes the famous Cabo de San Antonio and the Las Planas plain. In the place, we can find an enormous variety of native vegetation and hundreds of incredible animal species, such as the peregrine falcon, the Bonelli's Eagle or the real owls.

Cabo de San Antonio Natural Reserve

The cliffs of Cap de San Antonio rise about 160 meters and are located halfway between the Valencian Gulf and the impressive cliffs of northern Alicante. In them, we find the protected natural reserve, an impressive space of 900 hectares where we can bathe, dive and even sail in boats without a motor. On the seabed, we can find groupers, lobsters, Posidonia groups and precious corals. This area is highly recommended if you want to practice water sports in Jávea, such as snorkelling or experience cetaceans sightings.

    Paseo Marítimo de Jávea

The maritime promenade offers the perfect plan for an afternoon stroll and a dinner or drinks by the sea. The place is surrounded by several cafes, bars and restaurants ideal for sitting down to enjoy something cool or dinner on the seafront. During the summer season, the walk is quite crowded, since it is one of the most popular tourist plans.
