Description
Just half an hour inland from Denia, high in the hills above the Llaguar valley, yet only a couple of minutes’ walk to the village centre, this little slice of paradise is offered with multiple guest units, 11,500 m2 of stunning grounds, an historic ruin and some of the best views you will ever see.
Currently used as a casa rural country retreat, this property presents an excellent business opportunity. Such a unique location in Denia’s ‘Garden of Eden’ lends itself to a Zen retreat or yoga relaxation zone where your guests can leave the cares of the modern world behind and be once more at one with nature.
There is no end of wonderful places to sit and contemplate the views over some of the world’s most incredible scenery: lush green pastures, alpine mountain landscapes, almond groves, flower filled meadows and sea views towards the spiritual Montgo mountain and on a clear day, Ibiza beyond. Breathtaking!
Passing through gates, we enter the property via a driveway where there is ample off-road parking for guests’ vehicles. An enchanting stone path winds down towards the guest accommodation where we are greeted with stunning views and a collection of attractive stone buildings which make up guest suites, owners accommodation, reception house, dining room and caretakers accommodation. At the centre of the complex stands an impressive water feature with pond which adds an impressive backdrop to the buildings which resemble a small Tuscan village with its fastigiata cypresses.
To the left we find four double guest suites, all beautifully presented with bare stone walls and each with their own bathroom. In front of each suite a small terrace provides enough room for a small table and chairs.
Further down the path we find the reception building where guests would be welcomed. A small office area is provided, currently used as a check in area, then down some steps we are greeted with a room with historic artefacts providing a cozy place for guests to wait to receive their keys. Above this space we find the guest dining room with attractive terracotta tiles and bare stone walls. Guests will be able to admire the stunning view over the village and church just below. A good size kitchen is provided for preparation of guest meals as well as a small toilet for their convenience. Next to the guest service area we find a large and attractive double room which would be ideal as a caretaker or workers accommodation with private bathroom and lavatory.
Outside the guest suites we find rambling gardens planted with beautiful trees, plants and lavender providing plenty of areas to relax and unwind. There are plenty of shaded areas and a lawn where guests can sunbathe, paint or even enjoy yoga or tai chi.
Across from the main block of guest suites is another attractive stone building housing the largest of the guest suites. On the ground floor a comfortable lounge with log burner, flowing into a kitchenette with dining area and a lavatory and stairs leading up to a large double bedroom, family bathroom with twin showers and a large dormitory with bunk beds. All rooms are bright and airy and enjoy stunning views.
Just outside, a large and inviting pool terrace would be the focal point of this holiday village. An ideal spot to relax, sunbathe and swim to the tune of bird songs and views to the fertile valley below and the azure waters of the Denia coastline. Beneath the pool structure there is further opportunity to expand the guest areas. A gymnasium, sauna or yoga studio could easily be added within this existing structure in place of the current workshop.
The owner’s accommodation and a further guest suite is housed opposite the pool terrace, where we find an open plan kitchenette, lounge and dining area, bathroom with tub and double bedroom. To the side a shady tiled terrace leads us into the impressive owner’s house. A stunning and unique wood burner being the focal point in the open plan living and dining room. Leading through to the master bedroom there is plenty of cupboards and storage and a good size family bathroom. The second bedroom is currently used as a studio and library but has ample room for a double bed. Moving outside, an historic Arabic ruin from the end of the XI century, makes for a stunning backdrop with several areas available for the owners to relax in privacy within its walls.
