Denia has been declared in 2015 the Creative City of Gastronomy by the UNESCO. This is due to the fact that Denia achieves the perfect combination of the products of the sea and the Valencian garden, and has therefore managed to position itself as a benchmark in the Mediterranean diet.

Denia market:

Denia is undoubtedly a benchmark in Spain of Mediterranean culture and cuisine and a wide variety of activities related to the gastronomy of the town are carried out throughout the year.

Every Monday and every Saturday morning throughout the year you can enjoy the traditional Municipal Market located in one of the most recognized streets and areas of Denia, where you can find some of the classic and fresh products of the town. Some afternoons several activities, among which we highlight the gastronomic demonstrations and especially the tastings, are carried out.

The Fish Market is also well known, at the Fishing Pier of the Port of Denia, where every afternoon from Monday to Friday you can buy fresh fish brought by fishing boats recently arrived from the sea.

There are also several markets, traditional car boot sales and fairs in different places and of different types distributed throughout the Denia region.
