The coast of the town is one of the most important tourist attractions, among which the Cala de la Granadella and the Playa del Arenal, a sandy beach, stand out particularly. In addition, without a doubt, the coast of Jávea is famous for the practice of water sports, snorkelling and diving, as its waters are very clear, perfect to see wonderful fish, coral and Posidonia.

Cabo de la Nau

This characteristic cape, called Cap de la Nau in Valenciano, is one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Blanca. Located in Jávea, the cape, where we also find the famous Faro de la Nao (lighthouse), is forming a cliffy coast. Under it, there are several caves and small coves that are worth visiting for their beauty, and particularly if we are interested in water sports. In the cape you can enjoy spectacular views and sunsets, so do not miss it.

Iglesia de San Bartolomé

In the historic centre and built between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, the “Iglesia de San Bartolomé” (Church of San Bartolomé) is proclaimed as one of the most important buildings in the town of Jávea that you should definitely visit. In fact, in 1931, the fortified Elizabethan-Gothic church was declared a National Artistic Monument, so imagine the beauty that awaits you! Other buildings in the Historic District that you can not miss are the Town Hall and the Municipal Market.

Montgó Natural Park

It is a must in the town of Jávea, without a doubt. The natural park of more than 2 thousand hectares is a paradise full of impressive Mediterranean flora and fauna. The park is located on the plains of Ondara, Dènia and Jávea, at almost 800 meters above sea level. Montgó Park is one of the most beautiful and unique places in Valencia and includes the famous Cabo de San Antonio and the Las Planas plain. In the place, we can find an enormous variety of native vegetation and hundreds of incredible animal species, such as the peregrine falcon, the Bonelli’s Eagle or the real owls.

Cabo de San Antonio Natural Reserve

The cliffs of Cap de San Antonio rise about 160 meters and are located halfway between the Valencian Gulf and the impressive cliffs of northern Alicante. In them, we find the protected natural reserve, an impressive space of 900 hectares where we can bathe, dive and even sail in boats without a motor. On the seabed, we can find groupers, lobsters, Posidonia groups and precious corals. This area is highly recommended if you want to practice water sports in Jávea, such as snorkelling or experience cetaceans sightings.
